Hybrid Railway Bridge Bögl

There are more than 25,000 railroad bridges in Germany. About one-third of them are in poor condition, and 1,100 bridges are so severely damaged that demolition and reconstruction are the only viable options instead of renovation. For the replacement of structures with short spans, Max Bögl now offers the Hybrid Railway Bridge Bögl—a modular system that fully leverages the advantages of mass production in terms of construction time, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Even during the project planning phase, the Max Bögl Group can be part of the solution with the Hybrid Railway Bridge Bögl. Designed for single- and double-track railroad bridges with spans of up to 15 meters and low clearance heights, the bridge’s hybrid construction combines the classic advantages of steel and concrete as materials. Thanks to industrial manufacturing at the plant, the individual system components can be continuously prefabricated, stockpiled at a construction yard, and assembled on-site into various custom structures in the shortest possible construction time.
